Summer's Christmas Party 2012

Today was the perfect day for a cozy Christmas Party with the ladies.

As we got our first snow this morning. I left the house early so I could take a couple back roads and truly feel the spirit and see the beauty of the snow. Have been waiting to take this picture of this house with snow.
Love to be invited to my friend Summer's house! She has Easter,Valentine,Summer,Christmas and what ever she can think of parties. And everyone of them is amazing and different.

Her mantel was breath taking.

Loved all the antlers she used to decorate with.
She said these tulips bloom about 2 weeks after being planted.

Always motivated to try new things for decorating after leave her house.
Let me show you some amazing food. The deviled eggs were served with capers. This salad had awesome homemade dressing.

Crap dip was the shiz!

I brought this fruit pizza. Plenty leftovers so please stop by for some.
Summer's Red Velvet Cupcakes are always so good.

She also had the cutest pintrestie(is that a word?) Hot Chocolate Bar.

Roxy brought this:
 Baked French Toast
1 Loaf French Bread(she used round loaf)
8 large eggs
2 cups half and half
1 cup milk
2 T. white sugar
1 teas. vanilla extract
1/4 teas. cinnamon
1/4teas. nutmeg
dash salt

Directions
Slice french bread into 20 slices. Arrange slices in a generously buttered 9 X 13 pan in two rows, overlapping the slices. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, half and half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt and beat with a beater till blended but not to bubbly. Pour mixture over the bread slices. Spoon some of the mixture in between the slices too. Cover with foil and refrigerate over night.
The next day, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Praline Topping:
1/2 lb melted butter(2 sticks)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup pecans
2 T. corn syrup
1/2 teas. cinnamon
1/2 nutmeg
Combine all of these ingredients and pour on top of bread casserole before baking. Bake the stuffed french toast for 40 minutes.
She served hers with this amazing Vanilla Whipped Topping.

Was so good!
Summer shared this olive sandwich recipe, but I'm sorry can't remember.
What a great idea for wine bottle chillers.

Even her poinsettia sparkled.

This was her tree in her bedroom. Loved the tins that it were setting on.

This was such a cute magazine rack in her bathroom.

Such cute centerpiece on the table.

This is such cute ornament on her tree.
Her tree is a Frazier Fur.

Her house is so cozy and we all just layed around and laughed and cried together.

She could also be a florist along with the many gifts she has.

Her creative decor is eye candy.

Shana loved the gift she got. She was being a polar bear in her soft blanket.

These were real flowers. Stuck on her bathroom mirror.

Yes they were a bunch real candles lit on this chair that was hanging on the wall.

We did a gift exchange then we draw numbers and steal each others gifts.

Can't decide which I want to grab and run out back door with the collection of rolling pins or the boots.

Real bittersweet on her bed. Think probably my favorite part of her whole house.

She got the steel plated suitcase in Paris at a flee market this summer.

Still want my drawers back that she bought at my garage sale years ago, when we first met. But am happy they have a good home.

More antlers.

She got these huge pinecones from her grandma from years ago. This is the display on her bathroom sink.<3

Hoping you enjoyed this party as much as we did. Feel blessed to have a friend like Summer. She inspires me to make my home cozy and to throw more parties.
